riffling through a place on “the internets” that I’m not allowed to
talk about — here’s a photo of a young, nerdy Jennifer Garner.

Yeah, apparantly she was a total band geek. I think it's cool only 'cause I'm a huge fan and I used to look like that when I was a kid so I can sympathise.
