Thought:
If you misspell a search term, Google provides a link to query using the correct spelling of the word. If someone searched for “accordian”, then clicked the link to search for “accordion”, it would register a search for both spellings. I wonder if the queries are actually about 50-50 for each spelling, but Google is influencing the stats with their spellchecker.
