Obviously you haven't paid attention to McCain over the years Joey, as an Arizonan he is part of the reason I am not a Republican. He's a big government nannystateist of the worst ilk. I am not a conservative but he doesn't fit their mold either.
I wonder if the real story that the Repundits are missing is that the people voting for McCain actually like him because he's a moderate and independent-minded person, much as they are... and there's more of them than the party diehards would like to admit.
