Just for kicks, I thought I’d post some ’60s black and white photos that I rather like.
The first one is exactly how I picture my dream rec room (or, perhaps more accurately, “rumpus room”):
Very few men can pull off an exit from one of those teensy European three-wheeled cars. Cary Grant could:
I really love the lines of 1960s cars (my dream car is a 1966 Plymouth Barracuda):
And finally, this photo, which was originally titled “Why don’t you go make Bullitt some eggs?” Steve McQueen was the man.

Pffft! Steve McQueen is the poor man’s Paul Newman.
At my uncle’s second wedding, in 1980, his best man drove a Barracuda. Didn’t get to ride in it but I did get to touch it.
My dream car is a forest green 1967 mgb gt.
The car Cary Grant is getting out of is an Isetta, which actually has 4 wheels. The back pair of wheels are offset in from the front wheels, giving it the appearance of a 3 wheel car. With gas prices as they are now, a friend has taken his out of the garage for summer use. It generates lots of interest.
Did you know that in 1967 you could drive a Barracuda from Providence R.I. to Boston’s Logan Airport in under 30 minutes? Great fun!
Sigh. Steve McQueen was so foxy.
