  • Couple of bloopers there.

Why a shot of Christopher Walken in DEAD ZONE (1983)?

And Jon Voight a sex symbol in the 70s? Hardly. The shot there is from a 60s film (Midnight Cowboy), which is essentially about a bum who has to whore himself out to men because women won't sleep with him. And his only starring roles in the 70s were The Odessa File, Coming Home and The Champ.

More like Robert Redford or Burt Reynolds... but more Redford.

  • @darryl: I have no idea why the creator of the graphic used a shot from The Dead Zone. I thought that pic of Walken looked a little too "eighties".

As for Voight, I think whoever made the graphic thought that it would surprising for present-day audiences to think of him as a sex symbol, while Redford and Reynolds would seem obvious.

  • I'm trying to figure out the differences between "movies in the seventies" and the way things are today... and failing. Well, except for the wood paneling, and Jon Voight.

  • I don't think PORKY'S is in there.

There are only two images I can't identify. Can anyone else help?

    Here they are in order:

    Dirty Harry
    Dog Day Afternoon
    Dirty Harry
    Dog Day Afternoon
    Dog Day Afternoon
    Dead Zone
    Wicker Man
???? (The first guy in the yellow shirt)
    Wicker Man
    Animal House
    Carnal Knowledge
???? (The woman with the crazy big sunglasses)
    Midnight Cowboy
    Dirty Harry
    Carnal Knowledge

  • Damn, I meant Animal House, what the heck is wrong with me? I just saw it on TV!! And yeah, it's 1978. Sorry.

  • Fun facts:

Women still wear crazy sunglasses and they look like morons. I want to see your face, not how much you spent on an accessory I don't even give a shit about.

The black guy next door can often be caught wearing berets.

My old dorm was bathed in fugly yellow light, but my new dorm has harsh white fluorescent tubes. Huzzah.
