At the start of every Olympic games, there’s always an extended news piece – if you can call anything under 10 minutes “extended” – describing the host country to the viewers. The 2010 Winter Olympics is no exception, and in this video, NBC’s Tom Brokaw introduces American viewers to us, their neighbours to the north. In his voice-over, Brokaw says:

I dunno - I thought Brokaw made the whole country sound like a subsidiary of an American multinational corporation. I mean, it's lovely to talk about all the things that Canada and the U.S. have in common, but I would have thought Americans would be more interested in the many things that make us different.
It's unfortunate that NBC has chosen to be petty about it and pull this video from YouTube. I wouldn't mind if they made it clear where it was available from an 'official' source, but every search I conduct leads me to the pulled YouTube version.
