I’ve Never Lived This Close to a Ribfest

This is the view from my living room window this morning. The Ottawa Chicken-Rib Cook Off starts today on Sparks Street (outside my front door!) and runs through the weekend. I hope to catch some of it tonight, because it’s my only chance — tomorrow morning, I fly to Seattle for BarCamp.

  • I was shooting the bandshell concerts next to the ribfest at the CNE last year. I mentioned at the time that I wished I could photograph smells. Gator was my favourite last year. If they have a blooming onion stall, grab one.

  • Check out Camp 31 (I think just across O'Connor or Queen) They had some pretty tasty sauce. I'm going to have to go again tomorrow for Lunch to ensure I get a decent sampling :)
