I’ll be in Chicago from Saturday, November 12th through Sunday, November 20th. It’s part birthday present to myself, part taking advantage of a deal on travel and hotel, part “Hey, I’m mobile and can work from anywhere, right?”, part chance to visit some clients and developers based in the Windy City, and there may or may not be a girl involved.
If you have any suggestions as to what I should see, recommendations for places to eat that truly say “Chicago” or want to catch up during the weekdays, let me know (and that goes double for you, Robertson J. Strickler). Feel free to post your suggestions and recommendations in the comments.

Hey Joey, I'll be in Chicago from 13-17 November. If you want to meet up, I almost always visit the Billy Goat Tavern. You might remember it from such Belushi SNL skits as "Cheeseborger cheesborger! Coke? No Pepsi! Fries? No Chips!" /Rahul
Hey Joey,
Chicago is one of my favourite cities, though I can't say i've been brave enough to venture there in the winter.
I would highly recommend eating at The Publican, great Tapas and i've heard drinks at The Aviary are spectacular, though on the expensive side.
If you like architecture and the weather is co-operative, they have a number of walking/bus/boat tours of the city's skyscrapers, as well as many Frank Lloyd Wright homes in the suburbs.
Also, make sure to witness the origin of your lede photo, Cloud Gate at Millenium Park and if the schedules work, a Bears or Blackhawks game.
Enjoy!

I've been wanting to have a meal at Alinea (http://www.alinearestaurant.com/) for years, but haven't made it out to Chicago yet to try.
The #1 thing you should see: the twins! They want to meet Uncle Joey.
