On the Menu at This Year’s Birthday Party

Jars of President's Choice bacon marmalade

I saw the items above and below at the grocery store yesterday and decided “Yes…these shall definitely be on the menu at my birthday party!”

I picked up a jar of bacon marmalade and will try it out in a couple of different ways, both as a glaze for meat as well as spread on toast. I’ll report my findings here.

As for the molten chocolate chip cookie, I didn’t buy it yesterday, but will grab a couple of boxes for the party. I’m taking it on faith that they’re good.

Luke Skywalker is the 99%

Luke Skywalker holding up a sheet of paper that reads "It wasn't glamorous but I had a steady living on my uncle's moisture farm. One day while I was retrieving an errant droid my aunt and uncle were unjustly murdered and the farm destroyed. I was forced to leave my home and join an extinct cult to survive. I am now a member of an upstart movement to take down the greedy corrupt establishment."

I Like Anthony Bourdain’s Answer

Here’s Anthony Bourdain’s answer to Bill Maher’s rather lame softball question: “If you had to choose between a great meal and mediocre sex, which would you choose?”

Be warned: The answer is not safe for work!

Tweetgasm Tonight!

tweetgasm tonight

Once again, it’s time for Tweetgasm, Accordion City’s monthly get-together of the Twitterati. It takes place tonight at the Gladstone Hotel’s recently-redone Melody Bar from 7:00 p.m. onwards.

Tonight’s event is the “Gossip Girl” edition. I have only a guess as to what it means. Bring daddy’s credit card? The maid or butler? Designer clothes? An “I am the 1%” button?

Pink Mafia and Sony are handing out prizes tonight, and the hosts promise “many more surprises”.

I’m going to try and pass through tonight; hope to see you there!

It’s Where the Magic Happens

I’ve already been asked if it’s a little weird running something like the Shopify Fund. Of course…and I’m cool with that. I’m keeping this little Venn diagram in mind:
