It’s Family Day!

Today, the third Monday of February, is a statutory holiday that takes place in a number of Canadian provinces:

• In Manitoba, it’s Louis Riel Day (much to the chagrin of a certain Tory Member of Parliament);
• On Prince Edward Island, it’s Islander Day;
• and in Alberta, Saskatchewan and here in Ontario, it’s Family Day. In 2013, British Columbia will join the club of provinces that has Family Day.
