Why do you need so much white sky in that picture?
The vast blankness draws the viewer's attention to the significant object far more effectively than a compact format would. It makes you wonder, like, "why is there so much white sky?" And then you find out. Clever. Like an erotic novel that has no sex for the first 60 pages, maybe.
