“Look for the Helpers”

Something to keep in mind today, whether here in North America, or on the other side of the world.

Here’s the text:

When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me,

Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.”

To this day, especially in times of “disaster,” I remember my mother’s words, and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers – so many caring people in this world.

  • Hey Joey, maybe it's just me, but for the last week or two your page has never seemed to load any css. I'm getting raw html here. It's like 1997.

Tested it on a Chrome and Firefox on Windows, then on firefox on my RHEL5 virt.

This is my being a helper.

  • Thanks for the beautiful Fred quote and photo. He was a distant cousin of mine and I always feel very lucky about that.

I saw it on the Geyser of Awesome and followed the links here.
