I saw this last Friday at a shop in the Calgary airport, whose three-letter code is YYC:
and my first thought was: “Hah! Fedoras of YYC.”

well yeah. But shave the yuppie mullet, put on a tailored suit and tie and a decent jacket and maybe it’d work.
The plaid ones are fantastic.
It would appear that as long as the fedora is not black or some similarly dark colour, (or if patterned but reads as a dark solid), then it does not have that creepy factor.
