This house, located near the intersection of Dufferin Street and Rogers Road is believed to be Toronto’s smallest house. Occupying what used to be a driveway, it’s a one-bedroom, one-bathroom house that sits on a parcel of land 7.25 feet (2.2 metres) wide and 113.67 feet (34.6 metres) long and has an interior area of just under 300 square feet (under 28 square metres). The asking price is $179,900.

Here’s another look at the front:

Here’s the kitchen. Note that despite the small space, they’ve managed to fit a washer and dryer into the place:

Here’s the bedroom. It comes with a Murphy bed, which is a necessity in such a space. This is what it looks like with the Murphy bed down:

You also get some patio space out back. Here it is, looking towards the front of the house…

Completely off topic, but I wanted to tell you that I get an error trying to get your RSS feed. I’m using Firefox 2.0.0.8, and when I click on the feed icon on the main page I get this message: XML Parsing Error: xml declaration not at start of external entity

Line Number 2, Column 1:

We’re used to living in miniature condos (OK, at least I am), so the size may be manageable. But why would you need TWO satellite dishes? ridiculous.

Nothing wrong with 100 amp service for this size of home. It is so cute. I too would like to know where the bathroom is. Good luck with the sale.

Dear Mr. Devilla,
Would it be possible to get a photo of the bathroom up on the site. I’m not the only one that would like to see!!!
Thanks

I am curious it looks like there could be a small room upstairs judging from the pictures. Is there an attic space or a possible area to make another room in the upper level?

There is a website about the house and has the history as well as lots of pictures, including the “missing” bathroom.

Price has been reduced to $173,000 and has a current offer pending according to my research. It was for sale early last year at $139,000 prior to reno and sold to the current owner who is flipping it.

If you live with your dog only..haha
what about the bathroom? well if your dog fits in the dishwasher..no problemO

as far as R.E. goes – you can increase the value by improvements as high as the sky and as far deep as to the center of the earth ;>

Get More Space In Your Loft With A Murphy Bed…

Do you have a studio or loft apartment and don’t quite know how to hide the bed? Then a Murphy bed is for you! The Murphy bed, or wall bed as it is sometimes called, goes back to the 1800’s when many people simply lived in roo…

cute, real cute….if i moved into a house like that with wife, we would be fighting everyday…fighting in close quarters like that is very bad.

it’s ridiculous that people have to live like mice in such a big rich country as Canada

they have two satellite dishes they only need a fourth of one. Its cute but why so big for a house so cheap my house is worth less and its a two story in California

I thought it was going to be really small, but it actually stretches pretty far. I would not mind living in it. But it would probably be ideal for a little person or people who are used to living in smaller spaces.
