I had a housemate who would never enter a time in the microwave that ended in “0” – she’d always reheat something for 38 seconds or defrost something for 8 minutes, 22 seconds – never 30 seconds or 9 minutes. If she weren’t a lawyer with a prestigious firm here in Accordion City, I’d swear this store – given the hours posted – was hers:
Update: The eagle-eyed Estelle H. pointed out in a comment that she recognized those store hours – they’re those of the Conspiracy Culture bookstore on Queen West.

I have a friend who would only set her alarm to a palindrome. 7:07 or 8:08.
I wonder why the store owner abandoned the repetition scheme for Friday and Saturday evenings, opting for 9:11 instead of 9:09.
I have the same sign. They don’t give you enough zeros, so they figured out a solution.
Joey,
I recognize those hours, they are from the Conspiracy Culture bookstore in Toronto on Queen Street West , go here http://www.conspiracyculture.com/aboutus.html . Great bookstore on everything consipiracy theory
Estelle: Are you a regular? Or perhaps a member of the Illumnati, checking up on troublemakers?
Maybe she’s a closet *nix programmer and is saving on key-strokes, for example it’s quicker to press 333 for 3-1/5 minutes than 330. Most recommendations on how long to MicroWave things are really only estimates.
If we take the posted hours at their word, this is a bookstore that opens a little after midnight every day but Saturday and stays open until early evening. Even Portland’s legendary Powell’s City of Books can’t beat that.
